Fabulous Flats - Polyvore inspirations

Home Star Style

LOOKBOOK ...a chic

I Miss You

Given the ridiculous amount of walking I do at work, sometimes I end up really hating even my favorite heels. Since I can be practical when I need to be I thought I go surfing for inspiration on how to make flats look fabulous and So Perf.

I think I found my inspiration. Now I need to go shoe shopping, because my flat collection is not up to par. Sorry honey (dear husband), but I just have to.

How do you make flats look fabulous at work?

Gold Hot

Gold Hot

Since Summer is here, I'm planning on enjoying as much of this weather as I can. Taking the kids to the pool, and maybe going for some shopping and a scoop of ice cream are very likely activities for me this weekend.

What are you planning to wear now that summer started?

So into Marilyn

So into Marilyn

Hoop earrings

Ray-Ban ray ban sunglasses

Marilyn Monroe Dots Juniors T-Shirt
$22 - oldglory.com

I don't exactly know what it is about Marilyn Monroe that fascinates me. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my Grandfather was so in LOVE with her and had kept several magazines and pictures of her. Maybe it was how she exuded confidence. Regardless, I think she transcends fashion and is still considered a great beauty icon today.

A bit against her "prim and proper" aura I decided to use her image in an outfit I wore this Saturday while taking the kids out to do some crafts at our local kids club. Comfy and casual, NorCal style.

Who do you consider a Beauty Icon?

Working for the Weekend

Working for the Weekend

Since it is Friday, and I have a hint of warmth in the air, I went for some bright colors and a cute skirt. I had been afraid of bright colors in the past, but now I love pairing them with neutrals. I am not ready for color blocking yet.

How do you wear your bright colors?

I have been looking for that perfect "go with everything", "great for any occasion"clutch, and it has proven to be ever so elusive. And yet, maybe when you get an idea in your head of what you want you just don't find it. I have to admit, I do have a preference for my clutch to be a bit larger than most so it can fit more than just my lip gloss and a credit card (fitting my phone would be nice), so I end up with less options. And then, the envelope clutch came along. Yes, they do have plenty of small sized envelop clutches out there, but the variety of larger ones makes me giggle of joy. And the variety of price points is also something to grin about.  Now, if only I could make up my mind which one I like best.

Have you gotten hit by the clutch craze?

After a week off of work to visit family, I woke up very excited to wear a skirt after so many days of rain and cold weather. It may not last in this San Francisco climate, but one can dream.
Wearing a skirt. Joy!!!

Have you been wearing warmer weather outfits lately?
